IoT and Web development
Internship focused on enhancing the energy monitoring solutions for Medecins Sans Frontieres hospitals, building upon their existing Thingsboard IoT platform. The core goal is to leverage this platform to create actionable, data-driven insights that will help improve energy efficiency, predict maintenance needs, and ultimately reduce operational costs and environmental impact for these critical hospital facilities.
Interns will gain practical experience with a modern IoT stack, including interfacing with the ThingsBoard platform, utilizing its API, writing scripts (likely in Python) for automation, and developing custom dashboards (in ThingsBoard or Power BI). The specific project will be defined in collaboration with the organization's technical team. Potential topics include building an advanced operations dashboard for teams in the field running these hospitals, integrating with other existing dashboards and data warehouses, or developing a toolkit to streamline the integration of new sensors.
The proposal seeks motivated students or recent graduates with foundational programming skills and a demonstrated interest in IoT and data, who are eager to contribute to a humanitarian mission of Medecins Sans Frontieres. The immediate next step is to meet with the technical team to finalize a project scope that is both compelling for an intern and delivers high value to the organization.
